The Cornerstone Masonic Historical Society and the Members of Cornerstone Lodge 711 is holding its second annual 5K event and Oktoberfest on September 24th, 2016.
Registration for the 5K is available by going to this link for McGarrah's Family5K. We race around the beautiful Goosepond in the Center of Monroe. Whether you are in it to test your speed or just in it for fun, it promises to be a fun event.
After the 5K, and starting at 12 noon, the Cornerstone Masonic Historical society is holding an Oktoberfest with live music, prizes, kids activities, food and much more. The building has gone through much more extensive renovations than last year, including the third floor Free Mason Lodge Room, where the Cornerstone Masonic Lodge 711 first met in this building in 1817. We continue to build our collection of Free Masonry Artifacts and the early history of Monroe when this building was use as a stagecoach Inn located on the road from New York to Albany.
The proceeds of this event will go toward the renovation and support of the building and future programming.
Tickets to the 5K can be purchased online by clicking the link to McGarrah's Family 5K on the Active.com website. We hope to have the ability to purchase tickets online for the Oktoberfest by Mid-September.
